The Great American Cleanup
As part of Wyomissing’s Fourth of July Celebration and our community-wide recognition of America’s 250th Anniversary, we’re rolling up our sleeves and doing our part. Join Andrew Jordan, along with our friends from TCO Fly Shop, Crossett Cleaning Co., and the Tulpehocken Chapter of Trout Unlimited, for The Great American Cleanup on Saturday, June 20th.
This community cleanup effort will focus on the Wyomissing Creek and surrounding bank areas, helping preserve one of the Borough’s most treasured natural spaces for future generations to enjoy. Volunteers are asked to meet at the gravel parking area on Old Mill Road at 9:00 AM for a brief kickoff before breaking into small groups to clean different sections of the creek and nearby parklands. We’ll provide gloves, bags, refreshments, and cleanup guidance.
The goal is simple… bring the community together, make a real impact, and spend a morning giving back to the creek and park areas that mean so much to so many people. Whether you’re a longtime fisherman, outdoor enthusiast, scout troop, family looking to help, or someone who simply loves Wyomissing, we’d love to have you join us.
A few bags of trash may not seem like much, but when a community comes together, small efforts become big results.
