News: "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire"

Get ready to fire up the proton packs—Wyomissing's Movies in the Park series is making a grand return! As Bill Murray would say, “We came, we saw, we kicked some… well, you know the rest!” We’re thrilled to announce that our first movie of the season will be "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" on Saturday, August 17th at Happy Hollow Playground.  The show will begin at 8:00 pm and with Mother Nature being so tough on us lately, we’ve set a rain date for Sunday, August 18th.  

Picture this: a giant inflatable screen, the stars overhead, and the latest Ghostbusters adventure all wrapped up in a night of fun. It’s going to be a blockbuster event that you won't want to miss—unless, of course, you’re a ghost who doesn’t like popcorn!

Movies in the Park is where the magic of cinema meets the charm of the great outdoors. This community-driven program is all about bringing families, friends, and neighbors together for an evening of entertainment and connection under the stars. As our parks and playgrounds transform into outdoor theaters, you’ll experience the magic of movies like never before.

Whether you prefer lounging on blankets and pillows or setting up lawn chairs, Movies in the Park creates a special atmosphere for enjoying a diverse selection of films, from timeless classics to animated favorites. Bring your favorite movie snacks and settle in for a night of fun under the stars. It's so much more than just a regular movie night—our programming aims to strengthen community bonds and create a safe, enjoyable environment for all.

I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone under the stars. It’s going to be a nostalgic and thrilling night!”
