Step Into a World of Pure Imagination
Wyomissing, PA – “Come with me, and you'll be in a world of pure imagination…” On Saturday, September 14th, join us for an unforgettable journey into the whimsical world of Willy Wonka with the third installment of our Movies In The Park series, featuring Wonka! Have you ever wondered how Willy became the eccentric candy king? Well, now’s your chance to find out – and yes, there’s plenty of chocolate involved.
Our community’s beloved Movies in the Park series has already shown some amazing films this summer, but nothing quite as sweet as this one. “Wonka”, the much-anticipated prequel to the legendary Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, offers a look into Willy’s early days, and trust us—it’s going to be a sugar-fueled ride filled with quirky characters, mouthwatering candy, and of course, plenty of Oompa Loompa fun.
Thanks to our friends at the Wyomissing Hills Citizens Social Committee, we’ve got FREE POPCORN for everyone! Because what pairs better with an outdoor movie night than that iconic crunch? Plus, the Kona Ice Truck will be on hand serving up icy treats, so you can balance your popcorn with a refreshing, colorful snow cone.
The magic kicks off at 7:30 PM at the Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park & Playground, but make sure you arrive early to snag the best viewing spot and grab some snacks. We’ll be transforming the park into an open-air theater where the night sky will be your backdrop for this candy-filled adventure.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, September 14th
Show Time: 7:30 pm PM
Location: Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park & Playground
Movie: Wonka (Rated PG)
So, grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and maybe even a Wonka Bar or two, and come enjoy this deliciously fun evening! With lines like "A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men," you know it's going to be a whimsical, chocolate-filled adventure for the whole family.
And don’t worry – we’ve even set a rain date for Sunday, September 15th, because not even an Oompa Loompa would let rain spoil the fun.
Sponsored by the Wyomissing Hills Citizen’s Social Committee.
