News: Hop Into Spring Fun at Wyomissing's Annual Egg Hunt

Get ready for a morning of springtime fun and “egg-citement” as the Borough of Wyomissing’s Annual Egg Hunt returns to Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, April 12th! The festivities kick off at 11:00 AM, with children ages 1-12 invited to grab their baskets and join in the hunt for thousands of hidden eggs filled with surprises.

This year, we're bringing even more fun to the park with food trucks on-site! Be sure to stop by The Perk Up Truck for your coffee fix and delicious treats, and visit our friends from Rhythmic Provisions for some incredible bites. Because let’s be honest—hunting eggs is hard work, and parents deserve a little fuel too!

The event features staggered start times by age group to ensure every child has a fair and enjoyable experience:

                       Age Groups:
     1 & 2 Year Olds                           3 & 4 Year Olds
     5 & 6 Year Olds                           7 & 8 Year Olds
     9 & 10 Year Olds                         11 & 12 Year Olds

“The candy is great, of course, but for me, the best part is seeing the kids’ faces light up with excitement,” said Kristen Gajewski, Chairperson for the Egg Hunt Committee. “It’s about more than just the hunt—it’s about families coming together, neighbors catching up, and everyone enjoying time outdoors in the park. That’s what makes this event so special.”

A Few Important Egg-spectations:

• Parents, stay on the sidelines! This is a hunt for the kids—no competitive egg-grabbing allowed.
• Egg collection is for fun, not for glory. No shoving, pushing, or egg-hoarding.
• Limit of 15 eggs per child. We want to ensure everyone finds their fair share of treats.
• Bring your own basket or bag.
• Once the hunt is over, empty eggs should be returned to the pavilion. Help us keep this tradition sustainable!
