Be Part of the TRADITION!

Each summer, the Wyomissing Summer Playground Program brings children together for weeks of play, creativity, and friendships that often last well beyond August. From giant water slides and obstacle courses to art projects, themed weeks, and special guest visits, the program has become a highlight of the season for families across the borough.

To keep this tradition strong, WyomissingREC is now accepting applications for residents to join the Summer Playground Program Sub-Committee.

This committee partners with the Recreation Department to support and strengthen the program by:

• Reviewing program logistics and operations to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Offering feedback and new ideas from a parent or community perspective.
• Helping plan engaging activities that keep the program fresh and exciting.
• Preserving a tradition that hundreds of children look forward to each summer.

Serving on the sub-committee is a way to give back, share your voice, and help shape future summers in Wyomissing. Whether your children are current participants, past attendees, or you simply value what the program means to the community, your involvement would be invaluable.

Applications will remain open through Thursday, October 10, 2025.
