Roll Up Your Sleeves

The Borough of Wyomissing will host the annual Wyomissing Cleanup Project on Sunday, October 26th, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM.

Adult volunteers are asked to meet at 11:50 AM in the Boscov’s lower-level parking lot at the Berkshire Mall, across from Greenwood Mall. Gloves, trash bags, and safety vests will be provided, but sturdy shoes are recommended. Those interested in joining are encouraged to register by calling Mary Ann Reardon at 610-731-5371.  Registering helps organizers communicate with volunteers should weather affect the event.

At the same time, Wyomissing Junior/Senior High School students will be collecting litter along the Wyomissing Creek.  Any students wishing to volunteer should contact Ms. Minium, co-advisor, Service Club.  Because the cleanup will take place near and sometimes in the creek bed, students should also be prepared for the possibility of getting a little wet.

The cleanup serves as more than just a chance to collect litter—it’s an opportunity to strengthen community ties and set a positive example for younger generations. With students volunteering, as well as adults, the event underscores the importance of civic pride and taking care of shared spaces.

We hope to see a strong turnout this year as neighbors come together to make a visible difference in keeping Wyomissing clean and welcoming for everyone.
