October 8th, 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Witches, Ghosts, and Goblins—Oh My! Wyomissing's Spooky Hollow Halloween Carnival Returns... and This Year, It’s Even Scarier!
Wyomissing, PA — Grab your broomsticks, summon your courage, and prepare your best “BOO!” because the Borough of Wyomissing is once again transforming the Happy Hollow Playground into the eerily delightful world of Spooky Hollow on Saturday, October 25th, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM – if needed, a rain date is set for the following day, Sunday, October 26th.
This isn’t your average Halloween gathering—it’s a full-blown carnival of fun, frights, and fall festivities that will leave you spellbound.
Spooky Hollow: The Halloween Carnival That’ll Leave You Spellbound
Get ready for an afternoon bubbling over with spooky, family-friendly fun that’s sure to wake the dead - in the most delightful way, of course. Expect carnival games, pumpkin ring toss, crafts, a photo booth, balloon bending, an inflatable obstacle course, and maybe even a few surprises that creep up when you least expect it.
The Haunted Pavilion is back!
We’re turning up the scare factor with the return of our Haunted Pavilion, brought to life by the Recreation Committee’s Student Advisory Committee—a group of spirited students who know just how to make you shriek - and laugh. Step inside if you dare… and find out what’s lurking in the shadows!
Our transformation of Happy Hollow into this ghoulishly good time wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our community partners: The Home Depot, Newcastle Lawn & Landscaping, Target, and Fastbridge Fiber.
Food That’ll Make Your Taste Buds Howl
Between screams and laughs, make sure to grab something delicious from our lineup of local food and concession vendors, including Kona Ice, The Spanish Soul Food Truck, Le Petit Macaron Shoppe, Bop Hop Cotton Candy, and more! Whether you’re in the mood for sweet, savory, or spooky-themed snacks, we’ve got you covered.
Costumes, Candy, and Community Spirit
Keep your eyes peeled for our wandering judges, who will be on the lookout for the best and most creative Halloween costumes! Prizes will be awarded for the most frightfully fun, imaginative, and downright haunting ensembles.
A Spooky Finale to End the Day
But beware… Wednesday and Morticia Addams will be wandering throughout the carnival, spreading spooky charm and just a touch of mischief.
As the sun sets and shadows stretch across the hollow, gather your family and friends on the field for a ghoulishly delightful showing of The Addams Family animated classic!
Join Us—If You Dare!
Wyomissing’s Spooky Hollow Halloween Carnival is free to attend and open to all. It’s one of the community’s most beloved fall traditions, and this year’s celebration is shaping up to be our most “fang-tastic” yet. Bring the family, your costumes, and a healthy dose of Halloween spirit for an afternoon of laughter, scares, and memories that’ll last long after the pumpkins fade.
